Ms. Erica Enders, a “Pro-Stock” driver in NHRA, had A Better Tripp during the “Spring Nationals” in Baytown, Texas in 2008.
Erica and, team owner, Greg Enders (Erica’s father) have utilized A Better Tripp for all their moving services. They continued to partner with A Better Tripp for part of their run in drag racing’s premier event. May 3, 2007, HOUSTON, TX – On May 2, over 500 business leaders attended the 2007 Awards for Excellence event held at the InterContinental Houston Hotel. It was the 15th year of the BBB tradition. Charitable Donations Mark A Better Tripp’s Corporate Culture
With 2008 now infamous for its sharp economic downturn, supporting charities was not foremost in people’s minds. But even in the midst of the gloomy economic climate, A Better Tripp opened their hearts, their pocketbooks, and their company resources to lend a helping hand to some very deserving children.

Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Cancer Hospital
For over 30 years, the Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Cancer Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, has given young cancer patients a new chance at life. In 2008, the Children’s Cancer Wing at Christus Santa Rosa wanted to spruce up their infusion room to give kids a more relaxing environment during treatments.
In October of 2008, the 10th annual T-Bone’s Teed Off at Cancer Golf Tournament and Poker Party was held to buy toys and games for the infusion room, with a goal of raising over $30,000. A Better Tripp was one of the first to jump in for the cause.
“A Better Tripp donated $1500 for the cancer wing at Christus Santa Rosa,” said David Tripp, owner of A Better Tripp. “It was a great experience – the golf tournament was fun, but this was really about the kids.”
With the help of A Better Tripp and other participants, the golf tournament and poker party exceeded the hospital’s goal by more than $10,000. With that money, Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Cancer Hospital is getting some great new additions: game boys, six flat-screen TVs, four laptops, a Pac-Man arcade style game, and new animal-shaped examination tables.
Operation Christmas Child is an annual event sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, a charity devoted to helping needy children worldwide. Collecting gift-wrapped shoeboxes filled with toys, candy, school supplies, and personal hygiene items, Operation Christmas Child hand delivers the gifts to needy kids in over 120 countries
Windwood Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas, was one of the participants who helped collect shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. That’s when David Tripp saw his opportunity to help: For a full week in November of 2008, Tripp parked one of his company’s full-service moving trucks in front of Windwood Presbyterian to collect donations, as he does every year to lend a helping hand.
“This was our sixth year in a row to participate in Operation Christmas Child,” says Tripp. “We were more than happy to do it.”
Local Houston Company Offers A Better Tripp for Children
Houston, TX January 2, 2006 — Small nationwide shipments are A Better Tripp Moving and Storage Company’s niche, but during the holidays they specialize in fulfilling the dreams of children around the world. In place of the usual truckloads of antiques, couches, family heirlooms, bedroom sets, and other household goods, A Better Tripp has a truckload of goodies for kids. A Better Tripp’s owner, David Tripp, is a member of Windwood Presbyterian Church, one of the hundreds of churches nationwide that partake in Operation Christmas Child.
An event of Samaritan’s Purse, a charity devoted to helping needy children throughout the world, Operation Christmas Child makes Christmas hopes and dreams a reality for millions of children. Since the event’s inception in 1993, over 39 million gift-wrapped shoe-boxes have been collected and hand delivered to needy children in some 120 countries. Families all over the United States fill the shoe-boxes with toys, candy, school supplies, and personal hygiene items and donate them to Operation Christmas Child through their churches. Over seven million shoe-box gifts were collected and distributed to children in 95 countries last year alone.
Windwood Presbyterian Church | A Better Tripp
In 2004, Windwood Presbyterian Church, along with Kardia Christian Academy and Adventure Preschool, collected over 300 shoe-box gifts. The shoe-box gifts donated this year will be given not only to foreign children, but to the young Gulf Coast hurricane victims.
For the past two years, David Tripp and Houston Moving Company, A Better Tripp, have played an essential role in the gift drive by donating the use of a company truck. This year, a brand new A Better Tripp company truck large enough to hold the entire contents of a four bedroom house was parked outside the Windwood Presbyterian Church. “There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing you are helping to give the gift of true Christmas spirit to children,” said David Tripp. Beginning on Wednesday, November 17th, members of the church and community filled the truck with hundreds of shoe-box gifts. On Monday, November 22nd, David Tripp’s team drove the truck full of goodies to Houston’s main Operation Christmas Child collection center.
